The CIPD defines Outsourcing as “The partial or complete delegation of the HR function to an outside organisation.”
A recent survey by the CIPD suggested that 69% of all companies in the private sector outsource some or all of their HR function. Outsourcing is particularly popular in areas where specialist knowledge is at a premium with Employment Law (69%) Payroll (66%) Training (49%) and Recruitment & Selection (47%) being seen as being more effectively managed by an external supplier.
